This workshop is for writers and artists, whether you are an artist interested in how people describe your work, you want to add words to your works, you are a writer wondering what images your words could inspire, or you want to write about your favourite work of art. Use your own words and the writings and paintings of others to take a fresh look at how you approach your creative outlet.

Naomi Beth Wakan is the Inaugural Poet Laureate of Nanaimo and Honorary Ambassador for the Federation of BC Writers. She has written over 50 books and has recently published “On the Arts”—a series of essays on various aspects of creativity.

Materials to bring: Writing material, a favourite small work of art (your own or someone else’s).
