Mindfulness & Musicality: Embodiment & The Art of Listening

Becoming musical is rooted in your capacity to listen, feel and respond, using the essential elements of rhythm, harmony and melody. In this experiential workshop you will explore the building blocks of music from both a theoretical perspective and through the practice of embodied mindfulness. Some previous musical experience is great, but not required.

Brad Shipley holds a BMus from Vancouver Island University. From jazz to theatre, Brad is an experienced performer, teacher, and the musical director of the Gabriola Chamber Ensemble.

Kelly Price is an artist and graduate of Emily Carr University. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator and Haven guest faculty.
