The Métis are known for their exquisite flower beadwork. This hands-on workshop will take you on a journey through Métis beadwork history, then and now.

Joy Bremner is Cree Métis, born in northern Saskatchewan. She has been doing beadwork for 45 years, and is President of the Mid-Island Métis Nation. She is one of the Nanaimo Art Gallery artists in the school, and does numerous beading, leather, and finger weaving cultural programs and classes.
