YARROW KOONTZ & LUANNE MCCOLLUM

Yarrow and Luanne will show participants some resist-dye techniques from Japan, India, and Africa, and discuss some of the history of this natural dye plant. We will hand-dye a scarf and napkin.

Luanne McCollum has been involved in fibre art for most of her life and has been a member of the Spinners & Weavers Guild for 40 Years. Yarrow Koontz is a textile artist.

Workshop will provide one large organic mull cotton scarf (46″ x 82″) and one organic cotton napkin. Due to class size and small indigo vats, we ask that students wait until all the participants’ projects are completed before dyeing fabrics brought from home.
