This workshop focuses on how to become aware of the messages your body gives you in stressful situations. Who’s in charge when you’re stressed? What happens to your brain? So often we revert to old patterns and behaviours when faced with difficult situations. Here you will learn how to recognize your triggers, which is the first step in changing them.
This workshop includes physical & writing exercises, and discussions to help you identify how you physically and emotionally respond to stress.

Gwen Spinks is an artist, dancer, organizer, entrepreneur; but mostly, a teacher. Gwen has been teaching dance for over 30 years. She teaches the Feldenkrais method of movement and her art form. It’s through teaching that she has learned the most. Watching people struggle with shame, embarrassment, judgement. These are the things that get in our way. Over the years Gwen has gathered many tools to help people understand how their emotions get in their way. She is grateful to share these tools.
