Basket Weaving with Colour
Sunday, Apr 12 | 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre

You will spend a fun and productive day creating an oval “Nantucket” style basket with a wood base, reed spokes and cane weavers.  Working literally from the bottom up, you will weave your way to a finished versatile basket with your own colour choices, using a variety of basketry techniques.  You’ll be amazed at the beautiful array of finished baskets at the end of the day!

Marylyn, Frank and Margaret are members of the local Basket Cases, and have been crafting baskets on Gabriola since 2002.  They’ll facilitate this workshop with lots of one-on-one instruction.
