We live in challenging times and the Isle of the Arts Festival has rose to those challenges and brought you A Mosaic of Making!

From March 31 – April 11, 2021 the Gabriola Arts Council hosted virtual interactive workshops: felted slippers, watercolours, mending, professional development for artists, and more. Instructors worked diligently to ensure the experience was fruitful and engaging and they delivered!

In addition, we continued with Reading and Reconciliation: One Book, One Community with Bob Joseph and Shelagh Rogers and it was a very educational discussion. We had an evening event with award winning authors Arleen Paré and Kate Braid. Poetry Gabriola presented the Gabriola Microsynth Orchestra and interpretive dance mixed with poetry. Our closing night featured Sarah Osbourne delighting the audience with her
amazing smoky vocals and we announced this years Arty Award winner, Gwen Spinks. Congratulations Gwen!

Thank you to all the participants for joining in this years festival!  We look forward to 2022!
