Every April, the Isle of the Arts Festival celebrates the creative life on Gabriola Island, with hands-on workshops and diverse cultural events.

For 10 days, artists offer workshops on everything from vocal technique to juggling to making photo encaustics, with an emphasis on handmade and trying something new. We usually run between 30 and 50 workshops. A lot of them fill up the first day of registration.

Alongside our workshops, we partner with other local organizations to create a lineup of concerts, art openings, literary discussions, and film screenings.

Our festival brochure comes out in the final 2 weeks of February, and registration is in early March. Look for news on this site, on facebook, and in the Gabriola Sounder.

IOTA18 takes place April 4 – 15. See you soon!
