The Gabriola Island Singers present their 40th spring concert with many old and new songs and special guests. Join us in celebrating 40 years of song! The Gabriola Island Singers are a non-auditioned community choir which began in 1976. Memorable moments include singing at Expo 86, the opening of the Port Theatre, Remembrance Day ceremonies, and hosting the Soweto Teachers Choir and other choirs from Africa and Europe. The choir won the Lieutenant Governor’s Sing Me a Song contest in 2015 and 2016 for their original songs celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial.
